Five day bronze

This planner supports you to run Bronze Arts Award in five days (or equivalent).

This is by no means the only way to deliver this level of the award, but it offers a structure whether your programme runs over five days or five weeks!

The planner splits five days into sessions which you could spread over more days, or use as a basis on which to build further activities. This approach works well for delivery in a week or fortnight programme — or within regular workshops or a project.

School resource pack

The school resource pack is designed to support you as an Arts Award adviser.

The pack includes resources to support planning for effective delivery, planning for large groups and how to integrate delivery of more than one level of Arts Award.  It also provides delivery ideas, suggestions for supporting students’ progression, and guidance on moderation and assessing portfolios.

Arts Award Youth Theatre Resource

This resource is a guide for how you might structure and deliver Arts Award with your youth theatre and see how the Arts Award criteria can fit around your programmes of work. We would not recommend that you exactly replicate this
approach, but that you use it as a template to prompt your own ideas.

When making plans to take your youth theatre though Arts Award, consider the areas of your activity which would contribute towards the qualification and which areas could be adapted.

Arts Award and the Ofsted framework for schools

This resource shows how Arts Award can support schools in their Ofsted inspection.

It shows links to the four main areas of the inspection framework as well as the spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of students.

Arts Award and History

Arts Award can fit with arts activities you already provide, and be embedded into the curriculum. It can also provide a framework for cross-curricular programmes within the arts and across other subjects.

This resource shows how Arts Award can be mapped to the  History curriculum for Key Stage 1, 2 and 3.

Delivery development template

This resource has been created to support advisers who want to develop their Arts Award delivery approach.

You may want to embed Arts Award in your organisation, create a sustainable delivery model or encourage more staff to get involved. Or you may want to find a more efficient way of structuring evidence collection or assessing work. The resource helps you assess you current approach and gives suggestions for developing your delivery.

Making an assessment

This resource gives a step-by-step guide to assessing Arts Award portfolios/logs at all of the five levels and completing the evidence locator form ready for moderation

Evidence Locator Forms - completed examples

These resources provide completed examples of the evidence locator forms at Explore, Bronze, Silver, Gold levels. They demonstrate the amount of information we require to understand how the advisers made their assessment decisions.

Evidence checklists

These checklists allow you to check that all evidence needed for Explore, Bronze and Silver Arts award has been collated by young people. You can use this resource with the young person as part of your delivery process or as a useful checklist when assessing portfolios.
