We have worked in partnership with a local junior school, providing them with our students to lead art sessions for their Yr 5 and 6 students. This was great for enabling our Bronze & Silver students to reach a new audience and it gave the junior school a great treat!
We linked it with the BBC News School Report project (focusing of course on the arts specific areas), it also involved the students going to one of our primary schools to run a performance workshop.
We're doing it again this year and incorporating the Silver and Gold as well as the Bronze into. SIlver students are taking team leader roles, whilst Gold students are acting as group mentors.
