Arts Award support surgeries are open to all trained Arts Award advisers. All face to face support options are for trained advisers only and can only be offered in England due to our funding. Advisers from outside England are welcome to attend surgeries within England.

Support surgeries provide an opportunity for existing advisers to explore and develop the delivery of Arts Award in their setting, with the help of trained support consultants. Through support surgeries you can get support on:

  • planning the delivery of Arts Award projects
  • evidence collection for Arts Award
  • refreshing your understanding of the criteria for the various Arts Award levels
  • preparing for a moderation and assessing portfolios.

Attending a surgery is also a good way to meet other advisers in your area and share practice.

We are now taking bookings for the following Arts Award support surgery sessions.  Follow the links for more information and to make a booking.  You are welcome to attend a surgery in any region.

Accessibility

Arts Award is continually working to improve access to our programmes, including our supporter offer, for everyone with specific individual requirements. You can find out more on this here.

If you have any specific access needs, please contact us as far in advance as you can to discuss these requirements. While we cannot guarantee that every request can be met we will endeavour to offer support to all advisers wherever possible. This may mean that an alternative support method is more appropriate.

Please note surgeries are for trained advisers only and do not replace attending Arts Award adviser training.

More Autumn 2016 and Spring 2017 surgery dates will be online shortly. If you need support in the meantime please request remote support or a support visit.
